H.M.S. Gala was one of 36 destroyers of the River class.
Service
In late 1905, she was one of eight destroyers in the Second Division of the Channel Fleet's Destroyer Flotilla.[6]
She and sixteen other destroyers of the Reserve Division arrived at Sheerness on 13 July 1905 and proceeded to Chatham.[7]
In 1908, Gala was cut in two in a collision with the Attentive during night manœuvres off Outer Gabbard Light Vessel.[8]
