H.M.S. L 3 was one of thirty-five "L" class submarines completed for the Royal Navy.

Service

In 1925, she was part of Fourth Submarine Flotilla on the China Station, but no officers are listed with her in the Navy List.[7]

In early 1929 she was still part of Fourth Submarine Flotilla on the China Station.[8]
