Lieutenant-Commander Cecil Mervyn Queripel (4 August, 1883 – 26 November, 1914) was an officer in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Queripel was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 31 December, 1904.[1]

Queripel was appointed in command of the destroyer Hasty on 4 January, 1910.[2]

He was removed in command of Porcupine in light of comments that he was not careful with money and that he required supervision such as a large ship would provide. This resulted in his appointment to the battleship Superb on 7 October, 1911.[3]

Queripel was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 31 December, 1912 while serving in Gibraltar.[4]

He was appointed to the battleship Bulwark on 14 January, 1914.[5] He died on 26 November, 1914 in the explosion of the anchored battleship.[6]
