Examinations held in June 1890 produced the following successful candidates for naval cadetships for the July, 1890 term at H.M.S. Britannia.[1]
Those marked with a * passed from Eastman's Royal Naval Academy, Eastham.[2] The same source also alledges that a C. Peel passed with 1,346 marks, 21st in merit and a J. F. Chichester passed with 1,326, 22nd.

The Service Record of Duncan Hermann Carmichael indicate that they were in this term, but they are not recorded by the above source in having taken the entrance examination with their term-mates.
Additionally, Harold Ernest Sulivan obtained a Service Cadetship with 782 marks and Vernon Frederick Tuson obtained a Colonial Cadetship with 717 marks.
