Life & Career
Crossley was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 December, 1916.
Crossley was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 30 December, 1924.
A Court of Enquiry held on 25 october 1929 concluded that Crossley showed a lack of good judgment in a collision between his Somme and the destroyer Stormcloud.
Crossley damaged the propellers of Tempest in 1931 due to an error in judgment.
Crossley was promoted to the rank of Commander on 17 January, 1934.
