Commander Arthur Henry Bullen Day, (24 February, 1896 – ) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
The son of Lt. Col. W. B. Day, [illeg]. Day passed out of the Training Estsablishment and was placed in the battleship Thunderer of the Second Battle Squadron on 15 September, 1913. He served in her until 3 December, 1915 when he was appointed to the newly-completed sweeping sloop Myrtle, where he spent one year.[1]
On 18 January 1917, Day was appointed to Sylph. He was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant in this appointment on 15 November, 1917. On 8 October 1917, he was appointed to Oracle, in which he served the remainder of the war.[2]
Day was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 November, 1925.[3]
Day was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1931.[4]
World War II
Placed on the Retired List on account of age on 24 February, 1946.[5]
