Henry Malmesbury Stuart Laidlaw, R.D. (30 July, 1886 – ) was an officer in the Royal Naval Reserve.

Life & Career

Laidlaw was appointed Lieutenant, R.N.R. in Command of the destroyer Panther on 19 March or 1 April, 1918. He commanded her as part of the Dover Patrol until 20 December 1918, to the complete satisfaction of Captain (D), Sixth Destroyer Flotilla Wilfred Tomkinson.[1][2]

Laidlaw was demobilised on 15 January, 1919.[3]

Laidlaw was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 31 December, 1920.[4]

Laidlaw was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 31 December, 1928.[5]

Laidlaw was promoted to the rank of Commander on 19 October, 1929.[6]
