Completed in mid-1902, H.M.S. Sutlej was one of six Cressy class cruisers.

Service

Sutlej was re-commissioned at Devonport on 8 February, 1911 for work with the Home Fleet.[8]

Sutlej paid off at Sheerness on 11 April, 1913 and her crew went to Triumph, for temporary service in the Eighth Battle Squadron while the ship took on a crew from Chatham Depot for service with the Third Fleet's Seventh Cruiser Squadron.[9]

At the outbreak of the Great War, Sutlej joined Cruiser Force F of the Channel Fleet before being sent to join Cruiser Force I.[10]

In July 1920, Sutlej was listed as one of 88 ships (most of which were destroyers) on the disposal list which were to be prepared for sale "as soonas practicable."[11]
