Service
Voyager was commissioned on 8 June, 1918[8] and joined the Eleventh Destroyer Flotilla in July.[9] She served with the Eleventh until it was disbanded in March, 1919, at which point she was allocated along with the Eleventh's other "V"s and "W"s to the new First Destroyer Flotilla.[10]
She was re-commissioned on 6 June, 1924 at Devonport and joined the Fifth Destroyer Flotilla in the Mediterranean.[11]
She was re-commissioned at Devonport on 18 January, 1927 for service with the First Destroyer Flotilla in the Mediterranean.[12]
Re-commissioned at Chatham on 22 September, 1930 for continued service with the First Destroyer Flotilla in the Mediterranean.[13]
She re-commissioned at Portsmouth on 29 December, 1931.[14]
In June of 1933, her bell was one of about 100 surplus bells announced as being for sale at prices ranging from £1 to £10. Preference would be given to those offers from men with a special consideration in the bell in question.[15]
The destroyer was one of five R.N. vessels that were transferred to the Royal Australian Navy in 1933. She paid off at Portsmouth and re-commissioned as H.M.A.S. Voyager on 11 October 1933.
She re-commissioned on 1 January, 1934.[16]
She paid off into "E" Class Reserve on 13 April, 1936.[17]
