Captains
Dates of appointment are provided when known.
- Commander Norman H. Carter, July, 1915[9] – 16 November, 1915[10] (temporarily superseded on 25 September)
- Commander George R. B. Blount, 25 September, 1915[11] – 16 November, 1915[12] (initially, temporarily for the shaken Norman Hunter Carter)
- Captain Bernard St. G. Collard, 16 November, 1915[13] – January, 1918[14]
- Captain Reginald J. N. Watson, January, 1918[15] – 1 February, 1919[16]
- Commander Wellwood G. C. Maxwell, 15 December, 1920[17][18] – 30 January, 1921[19]
Construction
Lord Clive received a very high priority for receiving directors, and the order for her equipment was completed in 1915.[20]
18-inch Monitor
Along with General Wolfe and Prince Eugene, Lord Clive received an 18-inch gun in 1918. The order for her updated bombardment director equipment was completed by October, 1918 and most likely fitted that month.[21][Inference]
