H.M.S. Thrush was one of nine gunboats of the Redbreast class completed for the Royal Navy around 1890.

Service

She was commissioned at Chatham on 6 May, 1890 under the command of Lieutenant & Commander George V.[3] She again commissioned at Chatham on 25 August, 1891.[4]

In 1913, she was designated a Coast Guard "cruiser".[5]
