H.M.S. Rigorous was one of sixty-two "R" class destroyers completed for the Royal Navy in 1916-17.

Service

Rigorous joined the Grand Fleet's Fifteenth Destroyer Flotilla in December, 1916.[8]

She re-commissioned with reduced complement on 30 October, 1919.[9]

She re-commissioned at Devonport on 20 December, 1923.[10]
