Commander Bryan ffolliott Wingfield (16 February, 1894 – 28 September, 1935) was an officer in the Royal Navy. His middle name is spelled as shown, with the lowercase initial letter.
Life & Career
The son of L. J. Wingfield, Esq., gentleman.[1]
Wingfield was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 March, 1916.[2]
Wingfield was appointed in command of the destroyer Kennet from 24 September, 1918 through 12 May, 1919.[3]
Wingfield was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 30 March, 1924.[4]
Wingfield was placed on the Retired List at his own request at the rank of Commander on 30 April, 1935.[5]
Wingfield would die on 28 September 1935 after being struck by a train wagon while he was surveying structures on the London Midland and Scottish Railway at Edgware.[6]
