H.M.S. Impregnable was a training ship situated in Devonport. She was launched in 1810 and converted to a training ship in 1862. She was renamed H.M.S. Kent in 1888 and H.M.S. Caledonia in 1891.

It operated until 1929, and encompassed a number of changing hulk vessels.

From 1935 to 1948, a communications school under the same name was established at St. Budeaux, based in the former Steam Launch No. 209. It operated under the following captains.
