H.M.S. Heliotrope was one of twelve Azalea Class sweeping sloops completed for the Royal Navy.
Service
Paid off 15 December, 1920, part of the Reserve Fleet in Portsmouth.[6]
After six years in reserve, she was commissioned on 15 December, 1926 for service on the America and West Indies Station.[7]
Re-commissioned at Bermuda on 12 June, 1929 for service on the America and West Indies Station.[8] She re-commissioned at Bermuda on 26 September, 1931 for service on the America and West Indies Station.[9]
