Commander (retired) Geoffrey Thomas Wright, R.N. (24 July, 1886 – ) was an officer in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Wright was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 31 December, 1908.
Wright was appointed in command of the first-class torpedo boat T.B. 72 on 5 April, 1910.[1]
Wright was appointed in command of the destroyer Leopard on 19 September, 1911.[2]
Wright served in Berwick from May 1914 until she paid off on 12 November, 1915. He was then appointed to Ajax from 17 November 1915.
Wright was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 31 October, 1916. He was appointed from Ajax in July 1919 he received the oddly imperative note that he was to report to the Second Sea Lord's Office "before noon".
Wright was placed on the Retired List at his own request with the rank of Commander on 20 January, 1927.
