Two Mackenzie class torpedo boats were completed for the U.S. Navy in 1898 and 1899.

Construction

These boats were very small, being about one third the displacement of the Davis class boats ordered at the same time.

Armament

  • one 1-pdr gun (Mackenzie)
  • two 1-pdr guns (McKee)
  • two 18-in torpedo tubes on centreline
