Four London class heavy cruisers were completed for the Royal Navy in 1929. They resembled the preceding class, but were about one knot faster and lacked torpedo bulges.

Equipment
In 1928, it was decided that each should be supplied with two Torpedo Control Discs Mark II** (three for those ships operating as flagship), with deflection etchings for their 21-in Mark VII torpedoes, despite growing dissatisfaction at the design of that disc.[1]
