H.M. T.B. 6 was one of 36 first-class torpedo boats of the Cricket class.

Originally named H.M.S. Gadfly, her name was changed to Torpedo Boat No. 6 in 1907.

Service

Re-commissioned 27 August, 1909 under command of B. M. Harvey.[7]

On 31 May, 1912 while attached to the Nore Local Defence Flotilla, T.B. 6 collided with the government tug Marmion. Ten feet of the torpedo boat's stem was twisted to port; the tug emerged unhurt. T.B. 6 was docked.[8] The Admiralty concluded that the captain of the torpedo boat, Ronald M. Fraser had made an unseamanlike manoeuvre.[9]

On 23 March 1918, she collided with T.B. 034 due to carelessness on the part of T.B. 6's commander, Lieutenant R.N.R. James Leonard Payne Sibree.[10]
