H.M.S. Scarab was one of twelve "Insect" class gunboats of the Royal Navy. She spent much of her career stationed on the Yangtse River.

Service

She was re-commissioned on 6 December, 1915 and apparently operated continuously on the China Station until at least mid 1937.[6]
