H.M.S. Malabar was one of five Euphrates Class iron screw troopships completed for the Royal Navy.

Service

Re-commissioned on 13 April, 1870.[1]

Re-commissioned on 3 June, 1873.[2]

Commissioned at Portsmouth on 1 July, 1883.[3]

Commissioned at Portsmouth on 12 August, 1885.[4]

Commissioned at Portsmouth on 2 July, 1887.[5]

In 1897, Malabar became the receiving ship at Bermuda. She was renamed H.M.S. Terror in 1901.

Although many sources indicate she was sold in January, 1918, Terror was still among 46 obsolete ships awaiting sale in December, 1919.[6]
