H.M.S. Linnet was one of two Linnet Class gunvessels completed for the Royal Navy.

Service

Commissioned at Chatham on 19 September, 1882.[4]

Re-commissioned at Hong Kong on 25 January, 1889 for service on the China Station.[5]
