H.M.S. Fortune was one of eighteen "E" and "F" Class destroyers completed for the Royal Navy.

Service

Commissioned on 8 May 1935 for service with the Sixth Destroyer Flotilla of the Home Fleet.[3]

Re-commissioned at Chatham on 3 March, 1936 for service with the Sixth Destroyer Flotilla of the Home Fleet.[4]
