H.M.S. Blonde was one of four third class protected cruisers of the Barracouta class completed for the Royal Navy in 1890.
There was a small cruiser named Blonde that came after and fought in the Great War.
Service
Though Blonde was launched in 1889, her armament only arrived at Devonport in March, 1891.[6]

- Commander Henry M. C. Festing, 29 June, 1892[7][8] – 31 October, 1895 (for Annual Manoeuvres of 1892)
- Commander Peyton Hoskyns, 1 November, 1895 (transferred in after arriving in Blanche)
