"V" Class Submarine (1914)

Jump to navigationJump to searchThe four "V" Class Submarines, coastal submarines built by Vickers and quite similar to Scotts Shipbuilding and Engineering Company's "S" class, entered service in 1915-16 and were taken out of service very shortly after the end of the war.

In 1913, it appears that it was hoped that seven 18-in Mark VIII torpedos could be carried.[1]
