Second Class Protected Cruiser

Second Class Protected Cruiser is a generic term for a small cruiser with a thin protective deck. The type was typically employed on foreign stations and to provide a modicum of protection for shipping. They were similar in size to the more humble Third Class Protected Cruiser and the later Light Cruiser type.
