Admiral Charles Frederick Corbett, C.B., M.V.O., Royal Navy, Retired (21 November, 1867 – 29 January, 1955) was an officer in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

He was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 1 January, 1891.[1]

Corbett was promoted to the rank of Captain on 30 June 1907.

Corbett was appointed in command of the first class protected cruiser Blake on 25 June, 1908.[2]

In September 1911, he assumed command of the second class protected cruiser Flora.[3]

He was appointed command of the battleship Glory on 1 August, 1914.[4]

He was to become Captain of the battleship Jupiter on 16 March, 1916.[5]

Corbett was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 1 January, 1919, vice Oliver.[6] He was appointed Rear-Admiral Commanding the Rosyth Reserve on 1 May, 1919.[7] He was placed on the Retired List, at his own request, dated 14 October, 1922.[8]

He was promoted to the rank of Vice-Admiral on the Retired List on 31 July, 1924.[9] He was advanced to Admiral on the Retired List on 22 February, 1928.[10]
