Vice-Admiral SIR Peveril Barton Reibey Wallop William-Powlett, K.C.B., C.B.E., D.S.O. (5 March, 1898 – ) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

The son of B. WIlliamson-Powlett, Esq., a man described as having "no profession."[1]

William-Powlett was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 October, 1918.[2]

William-Powlett was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 October, 1926.[3]

William-Powlett was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1931.[4]

He would served with the New Zealand Division from 1931 until 1936.

William-Powlett was promoted to the rank of Captain on 31 December, 1938.[5]

World War II

He was appointed in command of the cadet training ship H.M.S. Frobisher on 7 January 1939.[6]

William-Powlett was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on 8 January, 1948.[7]

William-Powlett was promoted to the rank of Vice-Admiral on 15 December, 1950.[8]

Placed on the Retired List on 8 September, 1954.[9]
