Commander (retired) Arthur George Venables, (20 August, 1887 – 19 June, 1952) served in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Venables was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 1 April, 1910.

Venables was appointed in command of Mashona in the East Indies from 13 December 1911 through 11 February, 1914.

Venables was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 1 April, 1918.

Venables was promoted to the rank of Commander on 20 August, 1927.

World War II

Venables was granted the War Service Rank of Captain in 1945.
