Lieutenant Wilfred Dixon Stirling, R.N. (12 September, 1886 – 1 November, 1914) was an officer in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
The son of Lt. Colonel Stirling, retired.
Stirling was promoted to the rank of Sub-Lieutenant on 15 March, 1906.
Stirling was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 June, 1907.
Stirling was appointed to the armoured cruiser Monmouth as navigator on 30 July 1914 and would die in her when she was lost at the Battle of Coronel on 1 November, 1914.
