Service

Commissioned at Hong Kong on 1 January, 1925 for service with the Fifth Cruiser Squadron on the China Station.[7]

She re-commissioned at Portsmouth on 7 November, 1928 for service in the Eighth Cruiser Squadron on the America and West Indies Station.[8]

Re-commissioned in Reserve at Portsmouth on 12 June, 1931.[9]

Commissioned at Chatham for trials on 15 November, 1932.[10]

Despatch was commissioned at Portsmouth on 3 February, 1933.[11]

Re-commissioned on 25 July, 1935.[12]

Fire Control

Despatch was probably fitted with a director on launch or very soon thereafter.[13]

Captains

Dates of appointment are provided when known.

Curteis may have been in command until early 1929.[50]
