Jump to navigationJump to searchLieutenant-Commander R.N.R. (retired) Benjamin Charles Alban Edwin Cowper, R.D. (17 June, 1886 – ) served in the Royal Naval Reserve.
Life & Career
Cowper was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant R.N.R. on 2 April, 1915.[1]
Cowper was appointed in command of the first-class torpedo boat T.B. 112 on 25 March, 1918.[2]
After the war, Cowper assisted in preparing torpedo craft for sale. He was demobilised on 17 November, 1919.[3]
He retired at his own request on 24 August, 1921, Cowper was advanced to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander R.N.R. on the Retired List dated 2 April, 1923.[4]
In 1938 he was tried for an "act of gross indecency."[5]
