Lieutenant-Commander R.N.R. (retired) Benjamin Charles Alban Edwin Cowper, R.D. (17 June, 1886 – ) served in the Royal Naval Reserve.

Life & Career

Cowper was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant R.N.R. on 2 April, 1915.

Cowper was appointed in command of the first-class torpedo boat T.B. 112 on 25 March, 1918.[1]

After the war, Cowper assisted in preparing torpedo craft for sale. He was demobilised on 17 November, 1919.

He retired at his own request on 24 August, 1921, Cowper was advanced to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander R.N.R. on the Retired List dated 2 April, 1923.

In 1938 he was tried for an "act of gross indecency."
