S.M.S. Meteor was a torpedo gunboat completed in 1887.

Service

On 5 October 1894, rescued sailors from the capsized Italian schooner Marco Polo. In 1898, received mine laying equipment. !904 saw the installation of deck torpedo tubes and a reduction in masts. 29 April to 22 August 1905 surveyed the Dalmatian coast. Meteor spent the war stationed out of Pola, largely serving in the convoy escort role, but also going on patrols.
