H.M.S. Iron Duke was one of four Audacious Class central battery ironclads completed for the Royal Navy.

Service

Commissioned at Portsmouth on 9 May, 1890 to replace H.M.S. Devastation in the Coast Guard Service, Queensferry, North Britain.[7]

Captains

Boyle and Vander-Meulen seem to contradict each other.
