Edward Henry Meggs Davis

Admiral Edward Henry Meggs Davis, C.M.G., O.B.E., J.P., Royal Navy, Retired (18 August, 1846 – 6 October, 1929) was an officer of the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

Davis was promoted to the rank of Captain on 1 January, 1887.[1]

He was promoted to the rank of Vice-Admiral on 8 June, 1905, vice Brackenbury,[2] and placed on the Retired List at his own request on 26 June.[3] He was advanced to the rank of Admiral on the Retired List on 5 November, 1908.[4]
