H.M.S. Avoca was a commercial liner converted for use as an Armed Merchant Cruiser in the Royal Navy.
Service
Avoca served primarily on the western seaboard of the Americas during the Great War. On 1 June, 1916, Sir Ernest Shackleton visited her.[5]
Armament
She was armed with:[6]

- two 6-pdrs
