Cyril Everard Tower

Admiral Cyril Everard Tower, D.S.O., Royal Navy, Retired (3 December, 1861 – 20 January, 1929) was an officer of the Royal Navy.
Early Life & Career
He was appointed in command of the Eclipse on 11 July, 1905.[1]
Tower was appointed Captain of the Dockyard, Deputy Superintendent and King's Harbour Master, Portsmouth on 1 February, 1912.[2] On 2 June, 1915, he was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral, vice Grant-Dalton,[3] and was placed on the Retired List at his own request on 28 June.[4] He was relieved by Captain Edward H. Moubray on 29 June, 1916.[5]
On 1 January, 1918, he was appointed a Companion of the Distinguished Service Order.[6] He was advanced to the rank of Vice-Admiral on the Retired List on 2 November, 1919.[7]
