U.S.S. Chesapeake was a wooden-hulled bark that served in the U.S. Navy. She was renamed Severn on 15 June, 1905.

Service

Chesapeake was commissioned on 12 April, 1900 with Lieutenant Commander C. E. Colahan in command.

She was refitted as a submarine tender in early 1910, emerging in mid-May for work with Submarine Division 3.
