U.S.S. Minnesota was a screw frigate completed for the U.S. Navy in 1857 that served as a training ship during the late nineteenth century.
Construction
Service
Minnesota was loaned to the Massachusetts Naval Militia in October 1895 continuing that duty until 12 August, 1901. On that day she was sold to Thomas Butler & Company of Boston. She was eventually was burned to salvage her iron fittings at Eastport, Maine.
