The EU/SV Anzeiger was a German fire control instrument similar in function to the British Dumaresq, able to relate the relative motion of two ships to a resultant range rate and deflection.
The EU/SV Anzeiger is somewhat similar to the Dumaresq, but not wholly so. It allows an operator to enter or examine the bearing rate. Curiously, it appears to afford this utility by a design that makes it even more resistant than the dumaresq to integration in a larger mechanism of computation.
