Commander (retired) Alfred Frederick Bell Woodhouse, (11 January, 1887 – ) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Born in Cheltenham, Woodhouse listed his mother as his guardian when he joined the Navy.[1]
Woodhouse was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 June, 1909.[2]
Woodhouse was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 30 June, 1917.[3]
On 2 June 1924, he was lent to the South African government for command of the survey ship H.M.S.A. Protea. This work ran to 30 December, 1927.[4]
Woodhouse was placed on the Retired List on account of age at the rank of Commander on 11 January, 1932.[5]
