Captain (retired) Henry Clanchy, (30 August, 1893 – ) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
The son of Captain Henry T. Clanchy, R.N..
Clanchy passed out of Royal Naval College, Dartmouth in April, 1910 ranked 58th of 77 cadets in marks on the Part I examination.[1]
Clanchy was appointed to Princess Royal from February 1914 until being appointed to the destroyer Druid on 30 May 1915.
Clanchy was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 March, 1916.[2]
Clanchy was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 March, 1924.[3]
Clanchy was promoted to the rank of Commander on 31 December, 1929.[4]
Clanchy was placed on the Retired List on account of age at the rank of Captain on 30 August, 1943.[5]
