Captain Frederic Gray Buchanan, O.B.E., R.N., Retired (21 September, 1887 – ) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
He was born in Bromley, Kent.
Buchanan was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 March, 1908.[1]
During the war, he navigated in H.M.S. Newcastle, Greenwich and Devonshire.
Buchanan was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 March, 1916.
Post-War
Buchanan was promoted to the rank of Commander on 30 June, 1920. He travelled to Switzerland that year.
Buchanan was placed on the Retired List at his own request on 1 August, 1929.
Buchanan was promoted to the rank of Captain on 21 September, 1932.
