Lieutenant-Commander Thomas Albert Herriott, G.M. (3 September, 1878 – 30 July, 1946) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Herriott was confirmed in the rank of Gunner on 4 July, 1905.[1]
Herriott was appointed in command of the first-class torpedo boat T.B. 068 on 1 August, 1914.[2]
Herriott was promoted to the rank of Chief Gunner on 13 September, 1918.[3]
Herriott was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 31 December, 1921. He commanded a tug in 1925.[4]
Herriott was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 31 December, 1929.[5]
World War II
He would be commended for outstanding devotion to duty during enemy air attacks on London.[6]
