Lieutenant-Commander Robert William Wainewright, (27 February, 1901 – ) served in the Royal Navy.
I believe The National Archives has his name wrongly transcribed as Wainwright. The Navy List seems to have him right.[Fact Check]
As with many men born c. 1899 or later, his Service Records at The National Archives do not reflect activity between 1931 and 1939 or so.
Life & Career
He served in the battleship H.M.S. Hercules from 6 September, 1917 to January, 1919.
Wainwright was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 15 November, 1922.
Wainwright was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant-Commander on 15 November, 1930.
