Rear-Admiral George Weightman Hand, (4 July, 1841 – 25 January, 1914) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Hand was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 22 June, 1861.
Hand was promoted to the rank of Commander on 29 November, 1872.
Hand was promoted to the rank of Captain on 11 July, 1882.
Hand was placed on the Retired List on 27 June, 1894 in order to facilitate the promotion of younger officers.
Hand was promoted to the rank of Rear-Admiral on the Retired List on 16 September, 1897.
