Captain John Ignatius Hallett, D.S.O., R.N. (24 June, 1886 – ) served in the Royal Navy.
Life & Career
Hallett proposed a new type of torpedo director around 1910, which came to be referred to as Hallett's Director.[1]
Hallett was appointed in command of the first-class torpedo boat T.B. 36 on 9 January, 1912.[2]
His torpedo director was tried at sea and rejected by the Royal Navy's Torpedo School in 1914.[3]
