Captain Guy D'Oyly-Hughes, D.S.O., D.S.C., Royal Navy ( – 8 June, 1940) was an officer in the Royal Navy.

Life & Career

D'Oyly-Hughes was promoted to Sub-Lieutenant on 30 June, 1912.[1]

D'Oyly-Hughes was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant on 30 September, 1913.[2]

Still a Lieutenant, he was in command of the submarine E 35 on 11 May, 1918 when she sank Template:DE-U154 with a pair of torpedoes at 36deg 45' N., 12deg 0' W..[3]

World War II

D'Oyly-Hughes was killed when his battlecruiser Glorious was sunk by gunfire as it was headed to Britain from the Norwegian coast.
