H.M.S. Narwhal was one of six Grampus Class minelaying submarines completed for the Royal Navy.

Service

In mid 1937, she was in the Second Submarine Flotilla, two years into a command appointment under Lt. Cdr. John Ronald Stewart Brown.[1]
